Kumquats and such

One day during our visit, we took a trip to visit Great Grandma & Great Grandpa at Greenspring Village.  Grandpa Ted made the most delicious grilled cheese sandwiches.  (probably because they each had about a pound of cheese!)  Reagan crawled all over the apartment and got into everything.  They gave her a lovely "fish tank" that lights up and the fish "swim" and a rocking chair complete with a family of small bears to sit in it!  They are always so generous.  It was a wonderful visit and we can't wait to see them again. Whose got me this time? Hey, you look familiar! Pucker up!

Jason's cousin, Brett Campbell, is an amazing high school wrestler!  During the season, he eats like a baby bird, so once it's all said and done, Cindi cooks a feast for him and he eats himself silly.  This year we enjoyed pizza dip and onion souffle dip (courtesy of Aunt Steph), giant artichokes, steaks, and twice baked potatoes.  For dessert, Brett requested red velvet cake which Cindi happily made.  Everyone was in a mild food coma by the time dinner was over.  We got to watch a video of Brett winning one of his wrestling matches against a big rival too! Reagan had a blast visiting with Aunt Steph and Brett, but she really clicked with Uncle Dave who found her "sweet" spot.  He tickled her back until she couldn't laugh anymore!  What a great evening. Jason left for 29 Palms, CA on Saturday, 26 March, so we amended our plans and caravanned to Virginia the following Monday evening.  Cindi and Rick ensured that it was a smooth transition for Reagan who hardly noticed we had shown up in a different state during her sleep.  They had the pack n' play set up in no time and when we woke up, her highchair was strapped to a dining room chair and ready for her breakfast!  We surprised Geoffrey with our arrival and Reagan and I were standing outside his room to greet him when he awoke.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.  More details to follow. As we prepare for Jason's upcoming deployment, he's trying to spend as much quality time with his little "bug" as possible (which is tough when you work 12-14 hour days!).  Here are a couple shots of their time together.  He's gone for a month now and we can't wait for him to come home!

Grandpa came down last week and he built a frame for Reagan's new swing!  It's exactly what I wanted and Reagan loves it.  No more trips alone to the sketchy park:) The builder!
