Max's Birthday Weekend - Part 2

Image
After barely sleeping Friday night, the kids were up early the next morning! We kept them entertained in Colleen & Keith's room as long as possible... Then it was breakfast time. BIG BITE! Who doesn't need a little help from that other hand?! For the majority of April (according to Colleen), Max wore his blanket around like a cape and called himself Elsa...it was absolutely adorable. He kept singing the songs from Frozen too and stomping his foot:)  This slide was ridiculously fast and steep...thought Reagan might fall, but she nailed the landing! Savannah spent a lot of time bonding with Auntie Erica who was visiting from Wilmington.  As nap time was nearing (with no time to actually nap) and Max was starting to whine a little, Colleen distracted him with his birthday gift from Mason & Caroline...his very own cape!! It worked like a charm, just look at that smile as he's showing off in the last pic! ...

Max's Birthday Weekend - Part 1

Image
A month ago, we got to celebrate Max's birthday with him! As soon as Reagan was finished with school on Friday, we loaded up the van & headed to Woodbridge to drop Tommy off with Rick & Cindi. It was going to be a full house in Raleigh, so one less dog was definitely the way to go. Traffic wasn't nearly as bad as it had been the weekend prior, so we made decent time getting down there. Keith's mom, Deb, and his sister-in-law, Jen & her three kids were already in town from CT. That night, Colleen's parents came over, her cousin, Erica, drove in from eastern NC, and we all celebrated Max's third birthday with pizza and ice cream cake!!! Then we let the kids stay up way too late and watch movies:) Is this a happy boy or what?! Love Max's expression in this one. Licked the number, and then promptly put it back...love it!

Girls' Weekend!

Image
In early April, Jessica, Lynsey and I all made our way to Colleen's house in Raleigh for a girls' weekend! Reagan, Savannah and Jason stayed with Grandma & Papa all weekend:) Lynsey and I arrived around dinnertime on Friday evening. We met Colleen and her family at the Tap Room for some food and drinks. Then Keith took Max home and we piled into the van to go pick Jessica up from the airport. That night, we just watched TV and chatted. The next day, we got up, went for a walk & then headed out for a spray tan!!! We went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch - which was delish and then returned to find Keith & Ben & Max "working" on the play area. Perfect time for a sunny break in the driveway... This is what happens when you spray tan... Max was SUCH A GOOD BOY!! He really was so easy to be around all weekend! That evening, we abandoned Keith & Max and headed into Raleigh to the Marriott hotel, where we pretended t...

Boo Boo Face!

Image
A few weeks ago, we went to the park after dance class. After playing with her friend, Emily, for an hour, I told Reagan she had about 5 minutes before we had to leave. In the final minute of our park fun, she was running along, tripped over her own feet, and caught herself with her face. Poor girl! She wailed and called for her daddy, but after several minutes, she put on a brave face and let me clean it up. The next day it looked even worse, but I only made her pose for this picture:)

Lord of the Dance

Reagan is currently in round 2 of Twinkle Tots dance class. It varies week-to-week whether she likes it or not, but we've paid through June, which means she'll be going to class! About mid-way through the 6-month session, the parents get to come into the classroom and watch the girls dance. I love getting to do this because it means I get to bring in the camera! Standby for a LOT of ballerina photos:) Love her little tongue sticking out:) This is the "helper" in Reagan's class. She continues to gravitate towards older girls...and follow them around. This photo has so many things technically wrong with it (in the photography world), but I adore it. It captures her spirit and I love her!
