Christmas Eve with the Goodale's

Image
Christmas Eve wouldn't be complete without partying with the Goodale's! We typically celebrate at GG's house, but this year, we shook it up and spent the evening at Uncle Kevin & Aunt Lisa's. Their house was beautifully decorated and there was enough delicious food to feed the entire neighborhood! Uncle Kevin always goes out of his way to make sure everyone has something they can eat...which is much appreciated by the vegetarians!  We love this tradition as well and look forward to it each and every year. The girls were happy to be dressed in their pjs this time around. It certainly makes the bedtime part of Christmas Eve much easier when they are already dressed for it:)  So happy for their Auntie Katrienne who is recently engaged! She found a wonderful man and we're excited for Kevin to join the family! Hard to tell in this photo, but Savannah already loves her newest uncle!  At the end of the evening, we always have the p...

Campbell Christmas Eve

Image
We've been so lucky to live near family for the last three years! Every Christmas, we look forward to spending time with the Campbell's on Christmas Eve morning. Everyone brings a dish, Aunt Sheri & Uncle Scott make the bulk of the feast, and then we finish the morning with shots of Fireball and PeePaw and Uncle Scott playing Santa. It's quite the tradition and one that I'm so glad to be a part of. This year, I tried to get more individual pictures of the family. Here are a few: Glenna brought a game called Pie Face this year. What a hoot! Almost everyone took a turn, but the best had to be PeePaw, who was trying to eat the whipped cream:)  And of course, there are the shots we always take... "The Outlaws" All the Cousins PeePaw and all the grandkids and greats (and those of us lucky enough to marry into the clan) And of course, the Campbell "kids" This year, like all the ones before, was a wonderful event...

Savannah's First Holiday Concert!

Image
On December 11th, Savannah had her first holiday concert! She's in the Toddler B class at the North Post Child Development Center at Ft. Belvoir. Her teachers are Ms. Tammy, Ms. Shante, and Mr. Kelly, and she loves them! We are so glad that she is at this school and we love her teachers too. Savannah's class sang 3 songs: "Jingle Bells," "We Are The World" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." Thank goodness the teachers sang along, because the kids were not quite certain of the lyrics. Savannah did her best and clapped along though:)  Savannah and Ms. Tammy Savannah's favorite teacher, Ms. Shante!  Clapping along to "Jingle Bells" After the concert, we had to rush out to meet Reagan's bus, but not before I snapped a couple pictures of this cutie in her Christmas Concert outfit!

Apple Picking 2015

Image
It was the perfect, overcast day for a trip to Stribling Orchard in Markham, VA for some apple picking with family and friends. In typical Goodale-fashion, we set up camp on the top of the hill with a feast complete with a meat and cheese tray made by Mil and Bloody Marys:) We definitely know how to do things right! We were sad that several of the Goodale's couldn't join us, but we added Jessica & her friend, Bill, and Jon and Rachel to complete the occasion. After a fantastic picnic, some blanket tossing, and a million pictures, we packed up the party and headed into the orchard to pick apples. What a great day!  I don't have a lot of pictures of the girls together because Savannah is MEAN to Reagan so often, but on this wonderful day, they played so well together and had a blast. I couldn't stop capturing the moment. Thanks to Jessica, we got to update some group photos! Time for a break:) ...
