Christmas Eve with the Goodale's

Christmas Eve wouldn't be complete without partying with the Goodale's! We typically celebrate at GG's house, but this year, we shook it up and spent the evening at Uncle Kevin & Aunt Lisa's. Their house was beautifully decorated and there was enough delicious food to feed the entire neighborhood! Uncle Kevin always goes out of his way to make sure everyone has something they can eat...which is much appreciated by the vegetarians! 





We love this tradition as well and look forward to it each and every year. The girls were happy to be dressed in their pjs this time around. It certainly makes the bedtime part of Christmas Eve much easier when they are already dressed for it:) 


So happy for their Auntie Katrienne who is recently engaged! She found a wonderful man and we're excited for Kevin to join the family!

At the end of the evening, we always have the party crackers that come with a fortune, toy and crown. Uncle Kevin wears it well!

Thanks for a fabulous evening. We missed having Morgan with us this year, but are so happy that she's found a wonderful fiancé, Kevin, and we can't wait for their wedding celebration this year!

NC Girls' Weekend

Since Jason is out of town, we decided to schedule an impromptu girls weekend visit in North Carolina. It was great to see Lynsey & Colleen and their families. Jessica, the girls and I drove down Friday night and got to Lynsey's just before midnight. We didn't do much, but hang around the house and play outside on the first day. It was relaxing and fun. Brian was awesome and played with the kids while Jess, Lynsey & I did a workout in their amazing home gym. Colleen came up with the boys around lunch time on Saturday. All the kids fawned over Miles, or as they have names him, Baby My My. I think Savannah really enjoyed not being the youngest for a few days. Saturday night, we ordered pizza, ate way too much, and Grammy Betty came over. We haven't seen her in a long time and it was wonderful to chat with her again.  The next day, we woke up to some snow! Bath Time Fun

Typically, after Jason gets home and eats dinner, he is on bath duty. It gives me 10 minutes to clean the kitchen, set up his coffee and make his lunch for the following day. One day last week though, everything was already done, so I snuck in to watch the fun. We recently got some Mr. Bubbles for Reagan and she LOVED them. She's such a cheeseball!

Bath Time: PAHM Style

I've mentioned it before, but I will say it again: I love Play At Home Mom !!! This site is the best for ideas to interact with, engage, and teach your children. Reagan takes a bath almost every night. She has the typical assortment of toys (rubber boats, cups, a turtle, etc) to entertain her, but lately, she just leaves them in the bag. I decided to introduce some new things during bath time and they were a huge hit! Here are some pictures from our "adventures in bath fun." First up: BUBBLES ! It's a bit too cold to just hang out in the yard blowing bubbles, so I decided that bath time would be the perfect opportunity for a mess free bubble party! I LOVE this shot.  Secondly, (and straight from PAHM), I added: WATER BALLOONS !!! She absolutely loved when I poked a small hole in them and they became "water fountains!"
