Christmas Eve - Part 2

Image
After partying with the Campbell clan, we made a quick stop at Grandma and Papa's to pick up Daisy (she was spending the night with us!), and headed home to rest for a little while. Then we donned our finest attire and drove to Springfield to celebrate with the Goodale crew! As always, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Lisa, and Grandma had an amazingly delicious spread waiting for us. And Cindi made the most yummy parmesan bacon crisps! We ate appetizers and had some cocktails while waiting for everyone to arrive. Reagan sporting her new Christmas dress (that's a little big, but she will probably wear it next year too!). She's beautiful! Reagan and GG! Reagan sharing appetizers with her cousin, Morgan! Once everyone was there, the huge platters of food were brought out! Uncle Kevin outdid himself with this gorgeous antipasta platter: Jessica and Terry enjoying a cocktail by the bar! An Awesome Arrival & Christmas Eve (Part 1)

Image
***WARNING - SERIOUS PHOTO BOMB*** On December 23rd, I was thrilled to drive to the airport and pick up Jessica who would be spending the holidays with us! I had great intentions of parking and getting some pictures of her as she came off the plane, but shockingly the airline had her on the ground 30 minutes EARLY! Oh well, we'll settle for these two:) We had a fairly low key day, running a quick errand in Old Town and then eating dinner at Gary Mike's house. That was all in preparation for the super busy day we would have on Christmas Eve! Christmas Eve morning, we hopped in the car and drove to Stafford to Uncle Scott & Aunt Sheri's house. Their house is always beautifully decorated for Christmas (Mt Vernon has nothing on Uncle Scott's Christmas stash!). Everyone brings a dish and we enjoy way too much food and lots of great family time with the Campbell side. This year was no different... Papa got Santa on the phone for Reagan! Apparentl...

Maine Avenue!

Image
Early on the morning of the 22nd, Gary Mike came to the house to collect our little family for a trip to the fish market on Maine Avenue in DC. Reagan was excited to go see all the fish (I'm not sure she knew they would be dead:), and I was psyched to break out my camera for some cool shots! We had friends coming in town that afternoon, so Jason was looking around the market for something to serve our guests.  You can't see it in this shot, but that bright section in the background is the water...can't get much fresher than that!! We left the market with a bag of little neck clams and some lobster tails. Reagan loved the clams! And I think she even had some lobster with her dinner. Love being close to the city again!!
