Tyson's With Connor & Declan

Image
At the end of April, Reagan and I drove to Tyson's Corner to meet Leanne, Connor & Declan for one last play date before the McSween's move to Germany! We met at the food court and let the kids play for a while. Reagan kept trying to help Declan do things...she's going to be a great big sister!  We've been in a playgroup with Connor since he and Reagan were just babies, and it's been so awesome to watch them grow up together. Watching them develop into these little people with their own personalities is incredible, and even though we're going to be separated by over 4000 miles for the next three years, I look forward to seeing pictures and hearing stories about these two little guys! (And we'll be keeping tabs on our 2 buddies - Sean & Cormac - in CA too!) Here are some pictures from our fun morning together: Happy girl:) What a cutie! (That's Reagan's hand "helping" Declan down the slide) Silly Connor...that's no...

Playgroup Reunited in VA!

As you know, I had the best playgroup ever when we lived in NC! Reagan loves her playgroup friends, and I love their mommies! However, we're all tied to the military, and sadly, several of us have moved away. Luckily for us, the Marine Corps is a relatively small organization, so chances of us all crossing paths again is high! That brings me to today's post...last Friday morning, three of the original playgroup gals and their kiddos came to our new house in Mt Vernon for a playdate!!  We had such a great time. The toddlers fell back into their normal routine with each other...mainly parallel play, but more interaction than at previous meetings, and Declan just sat and took it all in: Here they are eating fruit and waiting for the pizza to come out of the oven: And post lunch play in Reagan's room! What's the fun of having a queen size bed if you and your three friends can't jump on it, right?! Got some individual shots of the "big" ...

Trying to get 5 toddlers to look the same direction and smile at one time is like herding cats:

You will hear no complaints from me about this crazy "winter" weather we've been having in NC. I'm all about playing outside sans jackets in mid-January! And we are so lucky to have such wonderful friends who come visit on a random Monday!! Cutest boots EVER! What are you looking at?!   Happy Girl Furry baby

Playgroup in Jacksonville

Image
We are lucky enough to have several mothers and babies to hang out with on a weekly basis in Jacksonville.  Guess that's what happens when our husbands leave for months at a time:)  The babies are fairly close in age and love playing together.  Sure, they don't really know how to share yet, and everyone drinks everyone else's sippy cup, but all in all, it's a blast.  We get together, and pot-luck style, bring food and drinks (the boring, non-alcoholic kind) for an afternoon date.  Here are some pictures from our latest playgroup meeting at our house: Hailey - 14 months Sean Patrick "a.k.a Reagan's bf" - turning 1 on August 30th Connor - 14 months Reagan & Sean "cooking" at the new kitchen from Grandma Siena - 11 months (dressed like Kelly Kapowski using her Zach Morris cell phone) Caliana - almost 1 year Nikki (Siena's mom), Caliana with her mommy, Pam, and Reagan Lots of pushing and not sharing takes place during playgroup:)
