One Last Hurrah!

Image
Several weeks ago, the Donlon's and the McSween's came over for one last hurrah before they move to California and Germany, respectively. Mil & Fil and Geoffrey & Glenna came over too! We spent time together and grilled out. It was awesome to see the kids together since they have known each other since birth! Connor & Reagan The gang watching Disney! How adorable is Declan?! Declan & Greg Glad Uncle Geoffrey could join the fun! Big kids, eating by themselves! Cormac & Brian  The whole crew...it was hard enough to leave them in NC, now they are going to be way too far away! The girls:)  After dinner, the guys (and Reagan) went out to the fire pit while the ladies hung out inside with the little ones. Then we put the big kids in the bath tub - a favorite pastime of Reagan and Sean's! I wish I had videotaped the whole thing...they were a mess! And after bath...cartoon time! Apparently watching carto...

Reunited!!!

Image
In early January, Reagan was reunited with her best bud, and boyfriend, Sean Patrick! Maureen and Brian brought the kiddos up to see her parents (who live about 15 minutes from us). We were lucky enough to steal them for an afternoon/evening! We let the kids play in the backyard for a bit and then we enjoyed dinner and some great conversation. Plus, we all got to meet Cormac!! He's just as sweet as Sean and so adorable!  Love their coordinating jackets! Like two little snowboarders:) They didn't skip a beat...sharing hugs and kisses! After dinner, we gave them a bath together, something they've done a million times. They had a blast! And of course, there was more kissing:) Here's Moe and Cormac! Isn't he handsome?! So glad they could take some time to come see us. I actually went to Maureen's parents house a couple more times because I just miss her so darn much! She and I raised our first babies together, endured deployments, and...

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Last weekend, we decided to decorate the tree! Reagan and I put the lights on earlier in the week, so all that remained was placing the tree skirt and hanging the ornaments. Reagan climbed up the step stool while Daddy showed her how to put her ornament up: And here's the ornament she chose to hang first! Absolutely love this memory!  Before placing the tree skirt around the base, it's always best to try it on as a cape:) With three people decorating the tree, it really didn't take that long. Here's a proud little girl with her SUPER TALL tree! Once we finished decorating the interior, I asked Jason to hang some lights outside. I really wanted them in a tree out in the front yard, but the lack of power outlets made that impossible. We decided to hang them inside the back half of the carport instead! It's perfect because they provide more light than the side lamps and since they are neutral, they can stay up year round. Jason took it one s...

Role Reversal?

Sean Patrick and Reagan were a bit confused about how the Cinderella Story actually goes: (Back to the traveling stories soon!)
