Family Pictures

Image
One evening, mid-week, I asked Papa if he would take a few pictures for us. He was kind enough to head down to the sound with us and snap a few. I loved all of them!! He did such a good job! And in another month, we'll ask him to take pictures of all FOUR of us!!!

Max Comes to Visit!!!

Image
Max came to visit his buddy, Reagan, the last weekend of June! (Ok, maybe it was Keith & Colleen coming to see us...who can really say?!) Seriously one of the cutest kids ever! Here's his "party" look for Jason's promotion celebration: The day after the party, the kids and I picked up some sparklers & poppers while Jason ran a few errands and Keith & Colleen visited family who just welcomed a new baby. Sunday evening, we had fun in the backyard before bedtime and let Max and Reagan do some sparklers. The adults had a pretty good time too... Max seriously takes the best pictures! Love that these two have become such wonderful friends with their own little personalities:) Reagan asks me at least twice a week if we're going to see Max today!

What a Look!

The other day, Reagan and I took the parachute outside (she used to LOVE the parachute at gymnastics class), and I couldn't resist snapping a couple photos. She wasn't nearly as excited about it as I was..

Easter Princess:)

My new camera (that I got for my birthday) came in handy on Easter Sunday when Reagan donned her fancy dress (courtesy of Grandma and Papa of course!) for brunch: I love these pictures. Her personality comes through. Thanks to an open door (for great lighting) and Daddy holding the backdrop, we'll have these memories forever!

It's Almost Here!

This Sunday was absolutely beautiful! The weather was hopefully a foreshadowing of the spring to come! There is a large flowerbed in our front yard, and while I planted some bulbs in the fall, there were already lots in there...and it's been a lot of fun watching different things pop up. These yellow crocuses are springing up (pun intended) everywhere. Even some on the side of the driveway:) Reagan loves to pick them.  And while spring is still teasing us outside, we brought a little bit of nature in the house. Here is some of our seedlings!  As soon as I get to the store to grab fertilizer and manure, I'll plant spinach & radishes in the garden patch just outside the kitchen door. Then we'll head over to Grandpa & Grandma Campbell's and plant their garden beds too! Hooray for homegrown veggies!!!

Old Town Alexandria

Image
One afternoon last week, Jason called me and said, "Hey, I know you had plans for dinner, but can you just shift it to tomorrow night?" Of course I jumped at the opportunity to skip a night of cooking, so naturally I said yes:) He arrived home early from work and we got dressed for an afternoon/evening in Old Town Alexandria. On our drive down the GW Parkway, I asked Jason to stop briefly so I could grab a shot of yet another amazing sunset (seriously great views here!). Shortly after we arrived in Old Town and found some parking. We wandered around and Jason took us to our first destination:  Reagan was sporting a coat that is borrowed from an old family friend...ridiculously cute! At Society Fair, we enjoyed a glass of wine and two different appetizers - both of which were delicious. Reagan looked so prim and proper with her fancy coat on. After our snack, we walked a block to the city square where we saw the gorgeous lights and Christmas Tree! ...
