237th Marine Corps Birthday Ball

Image
On Saturday afternoon, Grandma came over to watch the UVA football game. We enjoyed some snacks and a great win by the Wahoos before Jason and I started to get ready for the birthday ball. Grandma was a lifesaver and offered to come stay the night with Reagan so we could enjoy a night out! Reagan cuddled right up next to her for most of the afternoon: Once we were dressed, I had to snap a couple pictures, and Grandma got a few of us too: At this point, Reagan was walking around saying, "I go too!" She was a little miffed when we explained that it was a mommy and daddy only event:)  The evening was wonderful for all of us. Reagan and Grandma made cookies and played for the remainder of the evening. Jason and I enjoyed a delightful night, visiting with old friends, meeting new people and celebrating the 237th birthday of the United States Marine Corps!

Fun with Play-Doh

For her birthday, Reagan got some awesome toys to play with in the sand from Great Aunt Sheri and Great Uncle Scott. She's not a huge fan of the beach, but she adores Play-Doh, so while I was out running, Uncle Geoffrey and Papa broke out the new toys along with a few tubs of Play-Doh. She had a blast "cooking" with her new toys and played for almost an hour! So grateful to have such a wonderful family that will watch Reagan while I'm out running! She didn't even notice me when I came in the door:)

Just another boyfriend post:)

Last Saturday afternoon, Sean Patrick came to play with Reagan while his parents went on a movie/dinner date. We had a blast and after bath time, I put the kids in their coordinating Christmas pjs. Unfortunately, they weren't very cooperative when it came time for pictures: Such a gentleman...he was opening the car door for Reagan! Then she had a bit of an issue getting out of the car:) So Sean "helped" her out of the way so he could climb in! The difference between boys and girls: our tree has been up for well over a week...Reagan hasn't touched it once. Sean comes in, and within the first 3 minutes, he's taking ornaments off the tree and shaking the branches:) Guess this is why my friends with little boys have to anchor their trees to the wall!

Two is Better Than One

Since Reagan has turned 15 months, I have found that it's easier to keep her entertained when she has friends over. Luckily, there's no shortage of kiddos in Jacksonville! My friend, Katie, brought her daughter, Chloe, over the other day while she went to a doctor's appointment. Chloe is just one month older than Reagan and they had so much fun playing together. Plus, Chloe is a little chatterbox, and I think the more time Reagan spends around children who talk, the sooner she may start babbling away:) It's such a joy to see them running around together and learning how to share (I think we have a few more years of not sharing ahead of us though!). I didn't get many pictures, but here are two from the other day: Beautiful red-head! The girls putting their "baby" in the swing! How cute!
