Kumquats and such

Like most kids, these girls LOVE bath time! Most days, we are rushing to get hair washed and bodies scrubbed, but on days when we have time, I like to let them play. We break out the shaving cream and bubbles. They could stay in there for hours. It's one of my favorite times to photograph them because they are all smiles! And for the most part, they get along in the tub!

Savannah is a climber. No doubt about it, she is definitely more daring than her sister. Just a short while after she learned to walk, she was playing in Reagan's room and Jason heard her start to freak out a little. He went to find out what she had gotten herself into and found her standing on top of Reagan's dresser holding a heavy picture frame she had removed from the wall! Most recently, while climbing on a kitchen chair, she fell forward and hit the table. At first, we didn't think much of it, but as soon as we sat down to eat, I noticed her little black eye:( I fear this is the first of many to come with this one!

Earlier this year, we got a visit from some of our best NC buddies! Reagan has known Connor and Hailey practically since birth! Leanne and her crew were visiting from Germany, and Amber and her girls came in from CA. We were so glad that we found a date that worked and that the weather allowed for this to happen! So much fun to see how much these kids have grown up! Leanne and Owen & Amber and Alivia Connor...the daredevil!  Once she warmed up to us, Alivia had a blast! Declan is so easy going! He spent most of the time playing with this dog:) Perfect princesses...Reagan and Hailey The youngest ones:) Pizza dinner for 6! This couch is getting smaller! Reagan played photographer! Our local pirate, saving or going after the princesses...who knows?!

Someday, Savannah is going to be furious with me for posting this, but since she can't string together more than two words right now, I'm doing it anyway:) While Reagan watched some cartoons, I decided to give Savannah a bath. Whenever she's reached the witching hour and nothing makes her happy, a bath is always the answer. As I was putting away a few things in her room, she played in the bathroom. Naturally, I grabbed my camera... Love that belly! What a face!

After nearly a week of being sick, we were all happy to be back to 100%! And Jason was returning home after being in Quantico for the week, so everyone was happy! The girls donned their favorite dress up clothes, Savannah did her make-up with some markers Reagan left around, and we moved the furniture and cranked some tunes for a dance party! The girls and I had a wonderful time, and they finished off the fun night with a tea party. Love nights like this! Yes, she stepped right off the couch. Yes, she rolled. No, she didn't cry!

The same week Jason picked up his company for OCS, Reagan and I came down with terrible colds/strep throat. Thanks to Jessica, I was able to get Reagan to the doctor for some medicine without having Savannah in tow...wow, that made life so much easier! Thanks Jess! Poor Reagan was down and out. She spent three days just lounging on the couch in front of Disney Jr.  Rest really was the best medicine for her, but of course, that was difficult to do with Savannah around. Savvy was a good sport though and did her best to get into everything possible:) I snapped this picture because I wanted to capture the one thing we always need and can never find...Savannah's slippy cup. It was perfect timing that she reached into the frame. Love that little hand.
