Friendsgiving

This year, we headed to Yuma, AZ to celebrate Thanksgiving with some dear friends. We met Katie & Gray back in North Carolina, and despite the many miles of separation, have managed to keep in touch and stay close. We are truly grateful for their friendship! Within the past year, Katie & Gray effectively doubled their children, so it was a full house! They made room for the four of us and Tommy and we had a wonderful time. The girls never skip a beat between visits and immediately become best friends all over again. It is really sweet to watch! Our girls were also excited to spend some time with the babies! I'm not sure Michael and Grayson knew what to make of the crazy girls, but it was FUN!

We left Oceanside late in the afternoon on Wednesday, and after a nice drive, arrived in Yuma by 9ish. The girls settled in for bed with Chloe and Nora, and the adults enjoyed some catching up in the hot tub! We awoke early the next morning and spent the day playing and cooking.

The girls even dressed up and put on a show for us!

We settled for a bit to watch a movie, and then got dinner on the table. It was casual and delicious! We rocked paper plates because that's just practical!

And after a wonderful day, this was the sweetest sight.
