Tyson's With Connor & Declan

At the end of April, Reagan and I drove to Tyson's Corner to meet Leanne, Connor & Declan for one last play date before the McSween's move to Germany! We met at the food court and let the kids play for a while. Reagan kept trying to help Declan do things...she's going to be a great big sister!  We've been in a playgroup with Connor since he and Reagan were just babies, and it's been so awesome to watch them grow up together. Watching them develop into these little people with their own personalities is incredible, and even though we're going to be separated by over 4000 miles for the next three years, I look forward to seeing pictures and hearing stories about these two little guys! (And we'll be keeping tabs on our 2 buddies - Sean & Cormac - in CA too!) Here are some pictures from our fun morning together:

After playing on the toys, we took the kids on the train that drives around the food court. They loved it!




Once the train ride was over, we did a little shopping and then stopped at a place inside the mall for sushi. What a wonderful way to spend time with good friends!

    Looks like you guys had a great time! Thank goodness for Facetime - that way these kids don't have to miss out for 3 years!

NC Girls' Weekend

Since Jason is out of town, we decided to schedule an impromptu girls weekend visit in North Carolina. It was great to see Lynsey & Colleen and their families. Jessica, the girls and I drove down Friday night and got to Lynsey's just before midnight. We didn't do much, but hang around the house and play outside on the first day. It was relaxing and fun. Brian was awesome and played with the kids while Jess, Lynsey & I did a workout in their amazing home gym. Colleen came up with the boys around lunch time on Saturday. All the kids fawned over Miles, or as they have names him, Baby My My. I think Savannah really enjoyed not being the youngest for a few days. Saturday night, we ordered pizza, ate way too much, and Grammy Betty came over. We haven't seen her in a long time and it was wonderful to chat with her again.  The next day, we woke up to some snow! Bath Time Fun

Typically, after Jason gets home and eats dinner, he is on bath duty. It gives me 10 minutes to clean the kitchen, set up his coffee and make his lunch for the following day. One day last week though, everything was already done, so I snuck in to watch the fun. We recently got some Mr. Bubbles for Reagan and she LOVED them. She's such a cheeseball!

Bath Time: PAHM Style

I've mentioned it before, but I will say it again: I love Play At Home Mom !!! This site is the best for ideas to interact with, engage, and teach your children. Reagan takes a bath almost every night. She has the typical assortment of toys (rubber boats, cups, a turtle, etc) to entertain her, but lately, she just leaves them in the bag. I decided to introduce some new things during bath time and they were a huge hit! Here are some pictures from our "adventures in bath fun." First up: BUBBLES ! It's a bit too cold to just hang out in the yard blowing bubbles, so I decided that bath time would be the perfect opportunity for a mess free bubble party! I LOVE this shot.  Secondly, (and straight from PAHM), I added: WATER BALLOONS !!! She absolutely loved when I poked a small hole in them and they became "water fountains!"
