Reagan always has a fabulous time when we visit VA, but she especially loves hanging out with her Uncle Geoffrey and Aunt Kristin! They are a constant source of entertainment for her and give me a welcome break:)
They seem to have an endless amount of patience with her (except of course if she's messing around with Geoffrey's stuff!). Reagan misses you both and can't wait to see you again in January!
Typically, after Jason gets home and eats dinner, he is on bath duty. It gives me 10 minutes to clean the kitchen, set up his coffee and make his lunch for the following day. One day last week though, everything was already done, so I snuck in to watch the fun. We recently got some Mr. Bubbles for Reagan and she LOVED them. She's such a cheeseball!
Last Saturday, our friends, Nick & Agatha, invited us to Encinitas to watch Nick compete in the Stonesteps Surf Competition. We stopped by 101 Bagels to grab some breakfast and made our way south before the weekend traffic took over. Jason quickly found a parking spot and we wandered down 126 steps to find our friends on the beach. The girls love hanging out with Nick & Agatha because they have 7 month old twins, Eva and West! They have so much fun playing with the babies!
Breakfast on the beach:)
We got there in plenty of time to see Nick in his first heat. He had some stiff competition, but did an amazing job and advanced to the second round!
Jason also enjoyed some time with the babies!
As seems to be the usual here in Cali, the girls quickly found other kids to play with. And of course, they were soaked little sandy crabs by the time we left:) We had a great time hanging out and meeting new people.
Last Saturday, we headed inland to the Santa Margarita Trail for a hiking adventure! Jason had done some research and discovered this great, family-friendly spot for the us to explore. It was a beautiful day and we even brought Tommy along!
The trail started off nice and wide, perfect for an easy stroll. Parts of it were a bit trickier, but the girls did a great job navigating the rocks!
The trail followed the Santa Margarita River and there were several spots where you could walk right up to the river bank. Tommy, who usually hates water, ventured in without prompting!
We came to a spot with huge boulders on either side of the trail. Jason climbed up on top of one and we urged him to take a giant leap! This collage doesn't do the feat justice, but I did my best to capture the jump!
