Better late than never...THANKS JESS AND SEAN!!!

Right after Reagan was born, my sister & her husband were about to embark on their 2nd cross-country journey in a 30-day span!  And this second trip was in Sean's truck with Nessie in tow...sounds like fun, right?!  Well, about 2 weeks prior to this trip, I asked Jessica if she and Sean would alter their route to come through NC and meet Reagan.  Her response, "Nah, newborns don't really do much.  I'll just come back and see her when she's older and more active."  Boy was I not happy!  Turns out she was just luring me into her trap...to SURPRISE ME with a visit!!!

She and Sean spent not just one, but 2 days with us and we thoroughly enjoyed their visit.  Tommy and Daisy were also happy to see Nessie.  And while Jessica was a natural with the baby, I cannot say as much for Sean:)  (To be perfectly honest, I think Jess managed to get him to NC by promising him that he could play Mario Bros. on the Wii.)  All in all, it was a wonderful visit and I'm so glad they took the time to stop by and see us.

    We were so glad to see you and meet Reagan. And of course Nessie always loves to visit cousin Tommy! She's pretty insistent that you all make a cross country trip with baby and dog in tow to visit...well that's what I determined from her barks. I haven't quite mastered "Golden Retriever" speak just yet...does Rosetta Stone offer that class?

NC Girls' Weekend

Since Jason is out of town, we decided to schedule an impromptu girls weekend visit in North Carolina. It was great to see Lynsey & Colleen and their families. Jessica, the girls and I drove down Friday night and got to Lynsey's just before midnight. We didn't do much, but hang around the house and play outside on the first day. It was relaxing and fun. Brian was awesome and played with the kids while Jess, Lynsey & I did a workout in their amazing home gym. Colleen came up with the boys around lunch time on Saturday. All the kids fawned over Miles, or as they have names him, Baby My My. I think Savannah really enjoyed not being the youngest for a few days. Saturday night, we ordered pizza, ate way too much, and Grammy Betty came over. We haven't seen her in a long time and it was wonderful to chat with her again.  The next day, we woke up to some snow! Bath Time Fun

Typically, after Jason gets home and eats dinner, he is on bath duty. It gives me 10 minutes to clean the kitchen, set up his coffee and make his lunch for the following day. One day last week though, everything was already done, so I snuck in to watch the fun. We recently got some Mr. Bubbles for Reagan and she LOVED them. She's such a cheeseball!

Bath Time: PAHM Style

I've mentioned it before, but I will say it again: I love Play At Home Mom !!! This site is the best for ideas to interact with, engage, and teach your children. Reagan takes a bath almost every night. She has the typical assortment of toys (rubber boats, cups, a turtle, etc) to entertain her, but lately, she just leaves them in the bag. I decided to introduce some new things during bath time and they were a huge hit! Here are some pictures from our "adventures in bath fun." First up: BUBBLES ! It's a bit too cold to just hang out in the yard blowing bubbles, so I decided that bath time would be the perfect opportunity for a mess free bubble party! I LOVE this shot.  Secondly, (and straight from PAHM), I added: WATER BALLOONS !!! She absolutely loved when I poked a small hole in them and they became "water fountains!"
