World's Best Uncle!

From the moment our little girl made her arrival into this world, she has been loved by so many people.  One of those people is her Uncle Geoffrey.  Now I've had the pleasure of knowing Geoffrey for a few years, and while I constantly speak of what a genuinely nice guy he is, I had no idea what to expect from him when he met his niece for the first time.  Words cannot describe just how much help he was be and how much he bonded with her in just a short week. Hopefully the pictures will tell the story. 
Still at the hospital, Geoffrey waited to hold her until I got a chance to!  He was a natural.

This was around 5:30 in the morning.  He stayed there until she woke up.  Seriously, could he be any sweeter?

Geoffrey, the only technologically savvy one in the bunch, was responsible for communicating with Jason who was eagerly awaiting news on the USS Nassau.  He sent email updates and pictures to so many people, and I can't imagine just how many more calls we would have had to deal with if it hadn't been for him.  What a lifesaver.  Not only is he wonderful with Reagan, but he was fantastic around the house just helping with everything.  In fact, I invited him to stay and "work" down here for a bit.  Unfortunately, he had to leave us to go hunt for a "real" job:(  Hopefully he'll be back soon...I know Reagan would love it.

    Reagan is certainly a blessed little girl to be surrounded by some many that love her (and you & J) so much! Geoffrey is such an amazing Uncle and the pictures show just how much Reagan loves him.

    Such wonderful pictures. I'm so glad that you married into such a wonderful family, since your blood family is so far away! It was wonderful to meet Reagan and I'm so excited for your new and exciting journey ahead! We Love You!

NC Girls' Weekend

Since Jason is out of town, we decided to schedule an impromptu girls weekend visit in North Carolina. It was great to see Lynsey & Colleen and their families. Jessica, the girls and I drove down Friday night and got to Lynsey's just before midnight. We didn't do much, but hang around the house and play outside on the first day. It was relaxing and fun. Brian was awesome and played with the kids while Jess, Lynsey & I did a workout in their amazing home gym. Colleen came up with the boys around lunch time on Saturday. All the kids fawned over Miles, or as they have names him, Baby My My. I think Savannah really enjoyed not being the youngest for a few days. Saturday night, we ordered pizza, ate way too much, and Grammy Betty came over. We haven't seen her in a long time and it was wonderful to chat with her again.  The next day, we woke up to some snow! Bath Time Fun

Typically, after Jason gets home and eats dinner, he is on bath duty. It gives me 10 minutes to clean the kitchen, set up his coffee and make his lunch for the following day. One day last week though, everything was already done, so I snuck in to watch the fun. We recently got some Mr. Bubbles for Reagan and she LOVED them. She's such a cheeseball!

Bath Time: PAHM Style

I've mentioned it before, but I will say it again: I love Play At Home Mom !!! This site is the best for ideas to interact with, engage, and teach your children. Reagan takes a bath almost every night. She has the typical assortment of toys (rubber boats, cups, a turtle, etc) to entertain her, but lately, she just leaves them in the bag. I decided to introduce some new things during bath time and they were a huge hit! Here are some pictures from our "adventures in bath fun." First up: BUBBLES ! It's a bit too cold to just hang out in the yard blowing bubbles, so I decided that bath time would be the perfect opportunity for a mess free bubble party! I LOVE this shot.  Secondly, (and straight from PAHM), I added: WATER BALLOONS !!! She absolutely loved when I poked a small hole in them and they became "water fountains!"
