Caroline Turns 1

On May 18th, Reagan and I got to go to Caroline's 1st Birthday party!!! We actually linked up with Colleen & Max the night before and hitched a ride with them:) We arrived a bit late because I forgot my camera and realized about 15 minutes into our trip! Nevertheless, we made it just in time to see the beautiful setup that Lynsey should be famous for!! Sadly, after the photo op, the rain started coming and we had to move everything inside.

Caroline has been a ham since the day she learned what a camera was! This girl takes the cutest pictures. Here she is just cheezing away for me:)


Lynsey seriously thinks of everything! Despite the rain, she still let the older kids decorate their own cupcakes...inside...with sprinkles EVERYWHERE!

Mason LOVED these marshmallows...especially after dipping them in blue sprinkles! Lynsey had already dipped them in chocolate and added sprinkles too:)

Caroline started to fade as nap time approached, so Lynsey and Brian stripped her down for the smash cake! Check out this cute little ruffled bottom!


Apparently Caroline had never tasted sugar before her birthday because she didn't have a clue what to do when her mommy and daddy put the cake down. It was so cute! But it didn't take long to figure out that cake is awesome!





I took a short break from snapping photos of Caroline and her cake and caught a glimpse of Reagan practicing to be a big sister! Thanks Ethan for playing along:)

Even after her parents took the cake away, she kept trying to find more...love it!

And after a quick bath, she came back to her party to open some presents. I think she likes her new hat!


As expected, Lynsey planned and pulled off yet another wonderful birthday party. So glad we could be there to celebrate with Caroline! Happy birthday!!!

    Wow! Party looks like it was fantastic! Lynsey sure is a whiz when it comes to decorations and planning...she could start a business!

NC Girls' Weekend

Since Jason is out of town, we decided to schedule an impromptu girls weekend visit in North Carolina. It was great to see Lynsey & Colleen and their families. Jessica, the girls and I drove down Friday night and got to Lynsey's just before midnight. We didn't do much, but hang around the house and play outside on the first day. It was relaxing and fun. Brian was awesome and played with the kids while Jess, Lynsey & I did a workout in their amazing home gym. Colleen came up with the boys around lunch time on Saturday. All the kids fawned over Miles, or as they have names him, Baby My My. I think Savannah really enjoyed not being the youngest for a few days. Saturday night, we ordered pizza, ate way too much, and Grammy Betty came over. We haven't seen her in a long time and it was wonderful to chat with her again.  The next day, we woke up to some snow! Bath Time Fun

Typically, after Jason gets home and eats dinner, he is on bath duty. It gives me 10 minutes to clean the kitchen, set up his coffee and make his lunch for the following day. One day last week though, everything was already done, so I snuck in to watch the fun. We recently got some Mr. Bubbles for Reagan and she LOVED them. She's such a cheeseball!

Bath Time: PAHM Style

I've mentioned it before, but I will say it again: I love Play At Home Mom !!! This site is the best for ideas to interact with, engage, and teach your children. Reagan takes a bath almost every night. She has the typical assortment of toys (rubber boats, cups, a turtle, etc) to entertain her, but lately, she just leaves them in the bag. I decided to introduce some new things during bath time and they were a huge hit! Here are some pictures from our "adventures in bath fun." First up: BUBBLES ! It's a bit too cold to just hang out in the yard blowing bubbles, so I decided that bath time would be the perfect opportunity for a mess free bubble party! I LOVE this shot.  Secondly, (and straight from PAHM), I added: WATER BALLOONS !!! She absolutely loved when I poked a small hole in them and they became "water fountains!"
