Spring Break 2016 - Part 1

Since Jason is on his Pacific tour and the girls are on spring break, we decided to go on an adventure of our own! Saturday started with a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese, followed by a quick visit with Grandma & Papa. I raced home, packed the car while the girls napped, then we headed south for a potluck with the SAW spouses. We stayed for a couple hours - the girls playing with the other children, and me socializing with the other women. It was a great time.

After a speedy run through Target, we hit the road for NC around 7pm. Reagan and Savannah are both great travelers. Especially since we got the DVD player. I popped in a movie and before I knew it, they were both sleeping soundly and I was cruising along without any traffic. I always love driving at night...even as the rain poured down.

We got to Colleen & Keith's house by 11:30. I got the girls changed and in bed, then stayed up way too late chatting with Keith & Colleen who had just gotten home at midnight from a night out. We woke the following day and had a nice slow start to our Sunday.

The kids enjoyed Dunkin Donuts as usual...




Miles played in the jumperoo (it's been so long since we used this, I can't even think of what the real name for it is). This jumper has been used by all four of our babies! 




Role reversal...Savannah used to cry around Keith all the time!

NC Girls' Weekend

Since Jason is out of town, we decided to schedule an impromptu girls weekend visit in North Carolina. It was great to see Lynsey & Colleen and their families. Jessica, the girls and I drove down Friday night and got to Lynsey's just before midnight. We didn't do much, but hang around the house and play outside on the first day. It was relaxing and fun. Brian was awesome and played with the kids while Jess, Lynsey & I did a workout in their amazing home gym. Colleen came up with the boys around lunch time on Saturday. All the kids fawned over Miles, or as they have names him, Baby My My. I think Savannah really enjoyed not being the youngest for a few days. Saturday night, we ordered pizza, ate way too much, and Grammy Betty came over. We haven't seen her in a long time and it was wonderful to chat with her again.  The next day, we woke up to some snow! Bath Time Fun

Typically, after Jason gets home and eats dinner, he is on bath duty. It gives me 10 minutes to clean the kitchen, set up his coffee and make his lunch for the following day. One day last week though, everything was already done, so I snuck in to watch the fun. We recently got some Mr. Bubbles for Reagan and she LOVED them. She's such a cheeseball!

Bath Time: PAHM Style

I've mentioned it before, but I will say it again: I love Play At Home Mom !!! This site is the best for ideas to interact with, engage, and teach your children. Reagan takes a bath almost every night. She has the typical assortment of toys (rubber boats, cups, a turtle, etc) to entertain her, but lately, she just leaves them in the bag. I decided to introduce some new things during bath time and they were a huge hit! Here are some pictures from our "adventures in bath fun." First up: BUBBLES ! It's a bit too cold to just hang out in the yard blowing bubbles, so I decided that bath time would be the perfect opportunity for a mess free bubble party! I LOVE this shot.  Secondly, (and straight from PAHM), I added: WATER BALLOONS !!! She absolutely loved when I poked a small hole in them and they became "water fountains!"
