Day 13 - Dublin
As is typical in Ireland, we experienced yet another day of rain, but that didn't stop our sightseeing adventures. We woke up early, and hit the hotel gym on our 13th day of travel. Then we grabbed sandwiches at a Subway station and rode the Dublin tour bus to Christ Church. From that point, we wandered along the street to the Dublinna exhibit that covered the vikings in Dublin.
We learned a lot, but also had fun dressing up in some of the costumes:) After about an hour and a half in that exhibit, we ventured back out into the rain and headed for the Guinness Storehouse where we took a self-guided tour and learned how Guinness is made. We got to sample a small glass mid-way through the tour and then when we finished, we redeemed our tickets for a pint in the Gravity Bar.

View from the Gravity Bar - pretty lousy pics because it was so overcast
We walked from the Guinness Storehouse by way of a small convenience mart and grabbed a quick snack before entering the Jameson Distillery for another boozy tour:) This one was guided, so while we waited for it to start, we shared a sampler of 4 of the finest whiskeys available:
Our tour commenced, and we walked through the distillery and learned about how whiskey is made:
As the tour concluded, I volunteered to become an Official Jameson taster...aka more free whiskey! We sampled a scotch, some Jack Daniels, and some Jameson and gave our reviews:)
After a long day of sightseeing, we walked to Yamamori for dinner and then headed back to the hotel (via a grocery store to get beer & snacks). This was our final day in Ireland, and it sure was a good one!
