Reagan's Baptism

On Saturday, 7 May 2011, Reagan was baptized at St. Paul UMC.  The day started with the service at 9am in the beautiful chapel.  Reagan wore a gorgeous baptism gown (given to her by Grandma & Grandpa) from the Irish store.  It was a short ceremony and Reagan rivaled Pastor Wayne for attention by chattering throughout the entire thing!  Once that was complete, everyone headed to Grandma & Grandpa's house for an amazing brunch.  Cindi had done a month's worth of planning and had help from many different people.  The decorations were perfect and the food was delicious.  Uncle Kevin made a gorgeous fruit salad and served it from a carved watermelon, Aunt Sheri provided her famous ham biscuits, Aunt Steph (even though she was working) sent two huge dishes of hashbrown casserole, Aunt Lori brought a tasty ham and egg casserole and brought pepper jelly too!  Aunt Terry brought way too many bags of fabulous chocolate, and Barbara Turner finished off the brunch with sausage pinwheels, plates of pastries, and sangria!  Cindi made sausage casserole, two mushroom/bacon/onion stratas, a shrimp platter, SOS with a million English muffins, and a fabulous mimosa punch!  She also provided a strawberry buttercream cake from Wegman's complete with Reagan's picture!  Everyone had a fantastic time and we played games until 6pm.  Here are some shots of the decorations, food, and guests:

We want to take a moment to say a special thank you to Cindi for making all this happen.  If it had been left to any of the rest of us, Reagan would have had baptism ceremony with immediate family and a pizza afterward.  Cindi/Grandma made it a memorable day for everyone and we appreciate it so very much!  Reagan displayed her gratitude by napping on Grandma for an hour and a half during the party:)
